The smartest way around your city — that happens to keep you safe.
For five Indian metros, HomeSafe answers the question maps get wrong: not just which route, but which way — metro, auto, cab, bike-taxi, bus, walk, or your own vehicle — compared by real fare and time. Then it quietly has your back the whole trip, rating each route safer, not just faster.
Routes are rated safer based on available signals. HomeSafe can't guarantee safety — always contact emergency services when you're at risk.

Let's goWhy we built it
The “text me when you're home.” The longer, busier road you take because it just feels better — even while your maps app quietly screams take the shortcut.
That instinct is real, and it's smart. HomeSafe is that instinct, turned into an app. We asked one question: why does every navigation app optimise for speed, when the thing you actually want after dark is to get home safe? So we built one that scores the safe way, reads the street the way you do, and has your back the whole way there.
Not fear. Freedom — to go out, stay late, and find your own way home.
Compare every way to go
Type where you're headed and HomeSafe lays out every way to get there — priced for real, timed honestly, and ranked so the smart choice is obvious. It only compares options; it never books a ride.
Walk, auto, cab, bike-taxi, metro, bus, or your own vehicle — each with its real, city-accurate fare and an honest time. Built on the regulated per-city tariffs, not a guess.
HomeSafe reads cost, time, and comfort together and calls the winner — cheapest, fastest, comfiest, or the best balance — so you decide in a glance, not a spreadsheet.
Across all five cities, HomeSafe plans the whole trip over a curated 500+-station network — walking you to the right line and pricing an auto for the last mile when no station is in range.
In a taxi, a live “fair fare” read tracks what the trip should cost against what's on the meter — so you know the moment a ride is running long.

Each route rated saferNot just another map
Speed-only maps optimise for the shortest line. Thin safety apps bolt a panic button onto a generic map. HomeSafe does both jobs properly — compare every way to travel by real fare and time, with safety read into every route, tuned for Indian streets and private on your phone.
Not just “which route?” but “which way?” — metro, auto, cab, bike-taxi, bus, walk, or your own vehicle, compared by real fare and real time. The thing Google is genuinely bad at in India.
Every route is read for how safe it actually is — not just how fast — and after dark the safest one is locked in. It's the routing, not a panic button stuck on a generic map.
Share a live link and someone you trust watches you get home in their browser — nothing to download, nothing to sign up for. The link disappears the moment you arrive.
Calibrated city by city, on your wrist and in your car, with an on-device Bestie that knows your route — and nothing about your trips ever leaves your phone.
Each city has its own safety calibration — what counts as a safe road in Mumbai isn't the same as in Delhi.
Coming to more cities
HomeSafe is live in Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune and Hyderabad — and we're expanding. Tell us where you need it and we'll let you know the moment it lands.
Built for iPhone
Set a destination and HomeSafe compares every way to get there — then reads each route and tells you plainly whether it's good to go, so you pick the smart, safer way home with a single tap.
Drop a pickup and destination — MG Road to Indiranagar — and real routes and fares load in seconds.
Walk, auto, cab, bike-taxi, metro, bus, or your own vehicle — each with its real fare and time, and the standout tagged cheapest, fastest, or comfiest.
Each route leads with a plain verdict — “good to go” or “stay sharp” — plus the single most useful thing to do on it. The 0–100 safety score still ranks routes underneath.
Your live read, ETA and the one thing that matters mirror straight to Apple Watch and CarPlay — a glance, a tap to check in, no phone needed.

Each route leads with a plain verdict — “good to go” or “stay sharp” — and the single most useful thing to do on it. Underneath, a 0–100 score ranks routes from signals that match how Indian streets actually feel after dark: the map, the time of day, and what people who've walked it report. It all runs on your phone, in real time.
HomeSafe live-scans your route for nine kinds of help within 350 m — hospitals, police, metro, pharmacies, fuel pumps, hotels, 24/7 stores, ATMs and bus stops.
It favours always-open places and well-covered stretches, and flags long, dark, isolated gaps where you'd be on your own.
On-device sunrise/sunset math switches to strict night scoring after dark — and at night, only the safest route is selectable. No manual toggle to forget.
A route with people around feels — and is — different at 1 AM. HomeSafe reads crowd and activity signals, not just distance.
A highway is a bad idea on foot but sensible in a cab. Every road is scored for how you're actually travelling — walk, drive or taxi.
It recognises well-patrolled city stretches — Marine Drive, MG Road, the Lutyens zone — and rewards routes that stay on them.
Real, India-specific flags from people who've actually walked it — poor lighting, an isolated stretch, no autos late, a dug-up diversion — feed straight into the score. Local truth, not a generic crime map.
Community signals
No app can see a broken streetlight or a road dug up overnight. People can. HomeSafe lets anyone flag real, on-the-ground conditions — and those flags both nudge route scores and stay visible to everyone nearby. They're neutral facts about a place and a time, never judgements about people.
Reports describe conditions, not people. HomeSafe never labels anyone — only lighting, access, and the state of the street.
Flag a condition once, and the next person walking that street sees it too.
Routes are ranked Safest, Balanced, and Fastest, each badged Solid, Mixed, or Risky so you know what you're choosing. After sunset, HomeSafe locks to the safest option.
The highest-scoring route on the signals above. The default — and the only option once it's dark.
A sensible trade-off between staying safe and getting there. Available during the day.
The quickest way by ETA, scored honestly so you can see exactly what you're trading away.
Shared safety
Getting home safe isn't a solo act. HomeSafe quietly loops in the people who'd want to know — without making anyone download anything, and without ever sharing more than the trip you're on.
Text a trusted person a single link and they watch you move toward your destination, live, right in their browser. No app to install, no account, no friction. The link expires the instant you arrive — or after six hours, whichever comes first. They see this trip, and nothing else.
Start a trip and your circle can get a quiet heads-up that you're on your way, with the route you picked.
Reach your destination and HomeSafe can send an arrival message to your people, so no one's left waiting on a “text me when you're home” that never comes.
Pick a vibe — Commute, Chill, Anxious, Hype, Date night, Late one — and HomeSafe tunes how often it checks in: tighter, around every five minutes, when you're anxious or out late; standard otherwise. Tap “I'm OK” to confirm.
If you miss your check-ins, HomeSafe tries to alert your trusted circle with your location so someone knows to check on you. This protective floor is free for everyone.
Schedule a discreet call to land mid-date or late at night — a graceful, believable reason to step away whenever you want one.
The protective check-ins and live sharing are free for everyone.
One tap opens your phone's dialler to 112 and lets you share your live location with someone you trust — you make the call, HomeSafe never contacts emergency services for you. On the move, it tracks your trip and quietly re-routes you if you drift off the safer path.
HomeSafe helps you make a better route choice. It can't guarantee safety, and emergency services should always be used when you're at risk. Every score shows its reasons, so you decide — we never pretend a route is safer than it is.
Everywhere you look
Your live score, ETA, and the one reason it matters follow you across the surfaces you already check — so staying aware costs you a glance, not a tap-through.
Your score, ETA, and the single reason behind it on your wrist — and a tap to check in without reaching for your phone.
The safer route and your live score on the dash, sized for a quick glance while you drive.
Your trip lives on the Lock Screen — score and ETA updating in real time, no unlock required.
A compact, always-there read of your score and ETA at the top of the screen while you move.
A widget showing the day or night posture for right now, worked out from on-device sunrise/sunset math — so you know how strict the scoring is before you even open the app.
Private by design
HomeSafe was built so the sensitive parts never leave your device. Routing, scoring, your contacts, and your trip log are computed and stored on your phone — not on our servers.
Routing, scoring, your trusted contacts, and your trip history live on your phone. There's no account to create and no profile of you on a server somewhere.
One tap exports your data so you can see exactly what HomeSafe holds — nothing hidden, nothing locked in.
One tap wipes your data from the device. Built to respect your rights under GDPR and India's DPDP — your data is yours to take back.
HomeSafe is live now, free on the App Store — serious, on-device engineering pointed at a problem that matters: getting people home safe. It's one of several products from GenesisCipher Labs.
HomeSafe is a navigation and personal-safety aid — it is not a substitute for the emergency services and does not guarantee your safety. In an emergency, always contact official emergency services (such as 112). Features depend on your device, permissions, and network connectivity.
